In 1995, in the corner of an old hospital, Care Radio was born to meet a need - to bridge the gap between the wealth of public information and those who needed it most but could not reach it - unpaid carers and the friends or relatives for whom they care.

More than twenty years later and that need to reach information is greater than ever - and with it has grown the challenge and debate forced by the policies and issues that have led to a crisis in social care in the UK and across the world as economic pressures and priorities make Governments decide to cutback on care.

Now the global coronavirus pandemic has brought fresh pressures and exposing many existing issues for unpaid carers.

Evolving through Carers World Radio and Carers World Radio+, now launching as a national TV channel, Carers World Live continues to tell your stories, raise, analyse, debate the issues that you raise and bring them straight to the decision-makers.
